Angel Food

Last summer, as our Youth Group served in the Food Pantry at First Baptist Church Chalmette outside of New Orleans, they caught the vision to start a food pantry at Cornerstone. After doing some research, spending time in prayer, and seeking approval from the Elder Board, Youth Pastor Kevin Mulkey decided to become a host site for Angel Food Ministries.

Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing food relief and financial support to communities throughout the United States. The program began in 1994 with 34 families in Monroe, Georgia (between Atlanta and Athens), and has grown to serve hundreds of thousands of families every month across 35 states. Angel Food Ministries crosses denominational lines and has spread the good news of the gospel of Christ through salvation tracts that are placed in each food order.

We will be taking orders the first and second Sunday of each month with cash, check (payable to CBC) or Lone Star card.  You may also order online using your credit card at www.angelfoodministries.com.  The food distribution will then typically be the last Saturday of each month.

If you would like to volunteer to help with the monthly food distribution, please contact Kevin Mulkey at 214-677-7231 or Kevin@cbc-church.com. For more information about Angel Food Ministries you may log on to their website at www.angelfoodministries.com.
